Indoor and outdoor use
Indoors or, in general, in favorable lighting conditions, the red laser point can be seen very clearly, so that it can be easily aimed at the object. However, in outdoor areas with a lot of light or even under bright sunlight, the laser point is no longer visible. In these cases, the laser meter continues to measure without any problems. However, the Pointfinder, a camera that shows the target accurately in the reticles of the clear IPS display, is needed for aiming.

Ideal for difficult construction sites
The precision measuring module of the DISTO X6 is protected by a solid rubber and special fiberglass reinforced plastic housing. This makes it particularly resistant and can withstand drop tests of up to 2 m. In addition, the housing and keyboard are protected against projected water jets and are dustproof according to IP65, so the laser meter can be cleaned under running water. These features make the Leica DISTO X6 the perfect measuring instrument for tough and difficult conditions.

Clear reports that simplify documentation
All measurements and results can be summarized in report files on the Leica DISTO X6 directly on the construction site and downloaded later in the office via a USB interface. This makes it possible to quickly and easily integrate measurement results into budgets, invoices, etc. The large memory allows for up to 300 report files to be created on the DISTO X6.

Uncompromising accuracy
Contactless measurement activation ensures uncompromising accuracy and solves a known problem, that the laser meter can move slightly when pressing the measurement button and, consequently, does not hit the center of the measured object. For contactless measurement, simply move your hand briefly through the laser beam to activate the measurement.

Accurately determine horizontal distances
In "Smart Horizontal Mode", the DISTO measures the distance to the object and the inclination of the laser meter with just one click and then automatically calculates the exact horizontal distance. This function is very useful for precise horizontal measurements, especially at long distances, as the DISTO does not have to be horizontally aligned. The function can also be used if there is building material, walls, fences or people between the laser rangefinder and the target. Simply measure above the obstacle, and the exact horizontal distance will appear on the screen.

Economical measurement of terrain profiles
With the DISTO, it is very easy to create a terrain profile or to determine height differences in a building. The device is parked along the determined profile line, and a reference point is measured with which the height differences must be compared. Then, individual points are measured. For each measured point, both the height difference and the distance to the reference point are recorded. The terrain profile can then be drawn in the preferred CAD software based on these values.

Measure in an image
It has never been easier to determine the width, height, area, and even perimeter of an object. Just one measurement at the right angle is enough. Once taken, simply align the two arrows on the screen with the required points in the measurement image and the result will be displayed. The 4x zoom of the Pointfinder makes measuring objects, even at long distances, an easy task.

Ready for 3D measurements
The Leica DISTO X6 can be expanded with the Leica DST 360-X tripod adapter to create a solid measuring station. This allows for 2D and 3D data to be captured for further processing in the DISTO Plan app or any CAD software.
